The studio was unhappy with Star Wars as a title after negative market testing. A competition was held during shooting for cast and crew to come up with a better one but nothing stuck
 
Why I love Star Wars

I'm a bit older than you're average SW fan (I think). When SW came out in 1977 I was in high school and this movie was really groundbreaking: not only for the special effects, but also the whole concept. So the impression was made and have stayed with me since. These days I'm not really a hardcore SW fan in the sense of collecting, dress-up, and the like, but I still am an avid supporter who likes to stay on top of the latest and developments.

I'm only 17, but Star Wars has captivated me for as long as I can remember. The movies, the books, the video games, everything drives me insane with nerdish pleasure. I am completely unashamed to say that I wish I lived in the Star Wars universe, flying through the vast galaxy and forging my own destiny in such a magical place. I am happy I found this site, where I can finally talk to SOMEBODY about my odd lust for Star Wars!

I seem to be having problems receiving the "registration confirmation" email, so for the moment I'll be commenting in this old-fashioned way. Anyways, I've just recently started reading the New Jedi Order series (shame on me for focusing so much on the video games and ignoring the books, I know), and I have to say I'm quite impressed. I already finished the Thrawn and Jedi Academy Trilogies and all those in between. I'm on the first "Agents of Chaos" book. Have you read these yet?

Just wanted to share some news for anyone looking for good and low prices on collectibles. I just got a Kenobi lightsaber by Master Replicas from a store online that I'd never heard of. The store is Spirit of 76 and it looks like they sell mostly history stuff, but they also have some killer SW stuff and it's pretty cheap. Thought I'd share because the girl I talked to there said that they were trying to get rid of all their inventory. Just fyi.
